About Chuck Lasker
I’ve been been married to my wife, Sharon, since 1982. We have two adult sons, Brad and David. Our third “child” is our Shih Tzu, Petey. I grew up in Long Island, New York, and lived in Indiana from 1985 to 2010. In August of 2010, after several years of visiting Kauai and wanting to make it our home, Sharon, David and I moved here, first in Princeville, now in Kalaheo.
I earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering from Clarkson University in 1984. I spent six years as an engineer before jumping ship and going into marketing. For 10 years I was Vice President of Marketing for a national health products company. In early 2003, I left the corporate world and went full time as an independent consultant, focusing on helping businesses with their business and ecommerce websites.
I’m a writer, trainer, public speaker, social media addict, Inbound Marketing Certified Professional and the official video tutorial creator for several companies. I have spoken nationally on ecommerce, affiliate marketing and social media.
As a writer, I’ve been published in Practical eCommerce Magazine, Website Magazine, The Huffington Post, Kauai Family Magazine, and more.
In 2011, I became certified as an Inbound Marketing Educator by Inbound Marketing University. IMU is the established leader in educating others on inbound marketing techniques and best practices, with a curriculum used by colleges and MBA programs such as Harvard Business School, Northeastern University and UMass Dartmouth.
About David Lasker
I have always had a love of computers and new technologies. This eventually led me to the Internet and creating websites as a hobby throughout high school. After a couple semesters at Indiana University Kelley School of Business, I decided I preferred self-employment. In 2004, I began working alongside my father as an e-commerce consultant.
I am a self-taught coder in Miva Merchant, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and PHP. I am a WordPress coding expert. Over the years I have designed, redesigned, optimized and fixed literally hundreds of websites.
